One thing to look at

  • 1 stars1 stars. Stars are a popularity signal and not a quality one, but at this level it is likely that nobody has read this closely except its author, and you would be relying on your own review.

competitor-analysis

Understand the field so you can stake out ground only you can own.

Process

  1. Pick the set: direct competitors + the real alternative (incl. "do nothing" / a spreadsheet).
  2. Analyze each (from real, public sources - their site, ads, pricing, reviews):
    • Positioning + core message, target, differentiator claimed.
    • Offer/pricing model, primary channels, content/SEO presence.
    • Strengths, weaknesses, and what customers praise/complain about (reviews).
  3. Find the gap: an underserved segment, an unmet need, a message no one owns, a channel they ignore.
  4. Position against it (positioning) - don't copy the leader; differentiate.

Output

  • A comparison table (positioning / offer / channels / strengths / weaknesses) + the gap and your angle.

Guardrails

  • Use real, verifiable public info; mark anything unconfirmed [verify] - don't fabricate competitor facts.
  • Comparative claims about competitors must be truthful and substantiated (legal risk) - truth-claims; be careful using competitor trademarks in ads.
