SEO Strategy
Overview
Develop an SEO strategy that aligns with business goals by analyzing the audience, conversion model, competitive landscape, and execution capacity. This is a strategic skill that informs all other skills in the bundle.
Inputs
- Business description, target audience, and goals
- Current site performance data (GSC, GA4 if available)
- Competitor landscape notes
Workflow
- Define the audience: who searches, what they need, where they are in the funnel.
- Map the conversion path: how organic traffic becomes revenue.
- Identify the site's topical authority: existing strengths and gaps.
- Analyze competitive landscape: who dominates, where openings exist.
- Assess execution capacity: team, budget, technical ability.
- Define strategic pillars:
- Content strategy (what to create, update, prune)
- Technical foundation (what to fix, what to build)
- Authority building (earned links, PR, partnerships)
- Measurement (KPIs, reporting cadence)
- Produce a phased roadmap with quarterly objectives.
Output
SEO strategy document with audience definition, conversion path, topical authority map, competitive positioning, and phased roadmap.
