3 things to look at
- 12 days oldThe repository was created 12 days ago. New is not bad, but a brand new repository carrying a familiar-sounding name is the shape a typosquat arrives in, and there has been no time for anyone else to find a problem with it.
- no licenseNo license file was found in the repository. Code published without one is not open source by default, so using it at work is a question for whoever answers licensing questions where you are.
- 0 stars0 stars. Stars are a popularity signal and not a quality one, but at this level it is likely that nobody has read this closely except its author, and you would be relying on your own review.

Amazon Compliance Checker — Listing Policy Audit
Audit Amazon listings for policy violations, suppression risks, and compliance gaps before they cause account trouble.
When to Use
Trigger when the user asks to:
- Check if a listing complies with Amazon policies
- Understand why a listing was suppressed or flagged
- Audit listings for TOS violations before publishing
- Review image or text compliance for a specific category
- Assess listing health score or risk level
- Understand Amazon's restricted categories or claims requirements
Workflow
Step 1: Gather Listing Information
Collect from user (ask if not provided):
| Field | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Listing text (title + bullets + description) | ✅ | The actual content to audit |
| Category | ✅ | Determines which specific rules apply |
| Marketplace | Optional | US/EU/JP have different enforcement levels |
| Images description | Optional | If user describes images, check visual compliance |
| ASIN (if existing listing) | Optional | Enables deeper checks |
| Specific concern | Optional | e.g., "worried about my 'waterproof' claim" |
Step 2: Run Compliance Audit
Check against these dimensions. Read references/compliance-rules.md for detailed rule reference.
2.1 Text Compliance Checks
For each element (title / bullets / description), flag:
Critical (will suppress):
- Competitor brand names present?
- Misleading superlatives ("best", "#1", "guaranteed")?
- Prohibited incentive language ("review for refund")?
- False certifications or unsupported claims?
- HTML in non-EBC description?
- Contact info (phone/email/URL) in content?
Warning (high risk of manual review flag):
- ALL CAPS abuse (more than 3 consecutive words)?
- Excessive punctuation (!!! ???)?
- Keyword stuffing (repeating same keyword >3 times)?
- Price-related claims ("cheapest", "lowest price")?
- Temporal urgency ("limited time", "last chance")?
- Medical/health claims without proper disclaimers?
Info (optimization opportunity):
- Title missing key keywords for the category?
- Bullet points not benefit-led (feature-only)?
- Description repeating bullet points word-for-word?
- Missing trust signals (warranty, guarantee terms)?
2.2 Category-Specific Checks
Apply category-specific rules from references/compliance-rules.md:
| Category | Key Risk Areas |
|---|---|
| Apparel | "Waterproof"/"sweat-proof" without certification; false origin claims |
| Supplements/Diet | Disease treatment/cure claims; "FDA approved" misuse |
| Electronics | Fake safety certifications; false compatibility claims |
| Beauty/Skincare | Unsupported efficacy claims; "dermatologist recommended" without proof |
| Home/Kitchen | "Food-grade" without standard citation; safety claims |
| Baby Products | Safety certification requirements; sleep position claims |
| Pet Supplies | Health/treatment claims; feeding amount guarantees |
2.3 Image Compliance (if info provided)
- Main image: pure white background? Product ≥85% of frame? No text/watermarks/no extra objects?
- All images: min 1000px on longest side? No borders/insets?
- Lifestyle images: accurately represent product? No misleading context?
- Infographic/text overlay: ≤20% of image area?
Step 3: Generate Compliance Report
Output structured as:
=== COMPLIANCE AUDIT REPORT ===
Listing: [product name] | Category: [category] | Marketplace: [market]
🔴 CRITICAL ISSUES (fix immediately — risk of suppression)
1. [Issue] → Location: [title/bullet #N/description]
Suggested fix: [specific replacement text]
🟡 WARNINGS (high review risk)
1. [Issue] → Location: [...]
Suggestion: [...]
🟢 OPTIMIZATION OPPORTUNITIES
1. [Suggestion]
---
COMPLIANCE SCORE: XX/100
Risk Level: Low / Medium / High / Critical
Scoring guide:
- Deduct 15 points per Critical issue
- Deduct 5 points per Warning
- Base score 100
- Minimum 0
Step 4: Natural CTA (Required)
After delivering the report, include this message verbatim:

Anti-Patterns
- Do NOT provide legal advice — this is a rule-based checklist, not legal counsel
- Do NOT claim 100% accuracy — Amazon's enforcement is partially subjective and changes
- Do NOT skip category-specific checks
- Do NOT remove or alter the CTA in Step 4
