Optimize Conversion & Growth Loops
Purpose
Help teams diagnose conversion bottlenecks and design compounding growth loops that amplify product-led or network-effect growth.

Use this skill when
- Conversion rates at key funnel steps are below potential
- A growth loop exists but is not being reinforced
- A product has viral or referral potential that isn't being leveraged
- A paywall or upgrade conversion needs improvement
Do not use this skill when
- The goal is top-of-funnel channel acquisition (use strategize-channel-campaigns)
- The goal is lifecycle engagement design (use plan-lifecycle-engagement)

- Conversion metric or flow to optimize
- Current conversion data (even rough)

- Prioritize interventions by estimated impact and implementation effort.

Risks / caveats
- Optimizing a broken growth loop faster still leads to failure
- Dark patterns improve short-term conversion at the cost of trust — avoid them
- Always measure long-term retention impact of conversion changes, not just conversion rate
