Pitch Deck Builder
What this does
Produces a themed, 16:9 PowerPoint deck that follows a proven proposal arc — from cover through problem, market, thesis, solution, competitive wedge, roadmap, KPIs, three scenarios, investment, ROI, risks, asks, and close. The generator centralizes the palette and fonts as constants so the whole deck rebrands in one place, and ships title/content/divider slide helpers you can reuse to extend the flow.
When to use it
- Turning a strategy or growth plan into a client-facing presentation.
- You need an editable
.pptx(not a PDF or HTML), branded consistently. - A proposal needs the standard arc: problem → solution → wedge → roadmap → numbers → asks.
How to use it

Read
references/deck-outline.mdfor the slide-by-slide purpose and the content each slide needs. -
Generate the starter deck (deterministic — prefer the script over building slides by hand):

Rebrand by editing the constants at the top of
scripts/build_deck.py:BRAND_PRIMARY,BRAND_ACCENT,BRAND_DARK,BRAND_LIGHT,HEAD_FONT,BODY_FONT. Re-run to regenerate. -
Replace the placeholder copy on each slide with the real content from the strategy/model. Keep the section-divider slides — they pace the deck.

Pair the numbers slides (scenarios, investment, ROI) with the workbook from the
business-impact-modelskill so the deck and model agree.
Inputs
- Deck title + subtitle (optional CLI args; otherwise sensible defaults).
- The strategy narrative + the financials to drop into the numbers slides.
- Brand palette + fonts if rebranding (constants in the script).
Output
pitch_deck.pptx (default in the working directory, or the path you pass) — a
16:9 deck with cover, section dividers, and the full proposal slide flow,
populated with editable placeholder copy.
Notes & constraints
- 16:9 widescreen (13.333in x 7.5in) is set explicitly.
- Fonts are applied by name; if the named font is not installed on the opening machine, PowerPoint substitutes — pick web-safe or commonly-installed fonts for portability.
- python-pptx cannot render charts as live objects easily; the numbers slides use formatted text/tables — link to the xlsx model for the live version.
- Use forward-slash paths. Don't assume
python-pptxis installed.
