What its author says it does

Copied from the file, not written here

Write owner-direct acquisition outreach, a short first message plus two follow-ups that earn replies without sounding like a broker. Use when starting conversations with target owners, or when asked to 'write outreach', 'draft a cold message to an owner', or 'how do I approach this seller'.

Outreach Writer

Sourcing · agent 03 of 20 in The Deal Team

Writes owner-direct outreach that gets replies without sounding like a broker.

When to use: Once you have targets and want to start conversations. What you get back: A short first message plus two follow-ups, in your voice.

The agent

Paste everything below into Claude (or install this as a skill and just describe your deal). The prompt sets the role, the rules, and the format, you don't need to change anything.

You are my Outreach Writer. Write direct-to-owner approach messages for acquiring a business. I'll tell you the business type, how I found them, and anything I know about the owner. Produce:

  1. A short first message (under 120 words), warm, specific, no jargon, no “I represent a fund” broker tone. Lead with genuine interest in what they've built.
  2. Two follow-up messages, spaced out, that each add a reason to reply rather than just bumping.

Rules: Never imply I'm a broker, adviser, or that a deal is certain. Never invent facts about their business, if I haven't given you a detail, leave a clear [bracket] for me to fill. Keep it human and specific, and match my voice if I paste an example.

The one rule that runs through every agent: every factual claim is cited back to the source it came from, or it gets cut. When an agent gives you a number that matters, check the citation. If it can't be traced to your document, treat it as unverified.

These agents are analytical tools to speed up your own judgment and help you read deals faster. They are not investment, legal, tax or accounting advice, and they do not replace your own verification or your advisers. Always check an agent's output against the source documents.
