Oriental Museum Editorial Style

Overview

Apply a refined Chinese museum-editorial visual profile to process-evolution infographic prompts. Output a multi-page vertical series with a cover, several item pages, and a summary page; preserve the style grammar, but never reuse a fixed picture template across topics.

Core Rule

Inherit the aesthetic grammar, not the subject matter.

Use this skill together with process-evolution-infographic when the user wants this style for a progression, evolution, history, timeline, morphology, or series-poster prompt.

This skill overrides the single-poster default of process-evolution-infographic: produce a series prompt, not one combined infographic, unless the user explicitly asks for a single page.

Do not use this skill for ordinary image editing, direct image generation without a prompt request, or Gemini-specific prompt rewriting unless the user explicitly asks for this style in that context.

Stable Grammar

  • Multi-page 3:4 vertical series by default, one page per generated image.
  • High-end Eastern cultural visual language, museum note, visual atlas, modern editorial design, Song-painting-like negative space.
  • Clean light background: rice paper, porcelain white, pale ink wash, exhibition paper, or a topic-specific pale material surface.
  • Each page has one main visual taking about 60-70% of the page.
  • Text stays short: one title, one time/phase label where useful, and 1-2 concise knowledge sentences per stage.
  • Typography feels like a refined exhibition catalogue: elegant Chinese title treatment, restrained modern labels, small archival annotations, quiet numbering.
  • Color stays low-saturation and topic-led, with one or two traditional accent colors only when justified.
  • Image and text behave like one designed system: exhibit tags, caption strips, fine lead lines, color swatches, small material samples, or margins that belong to the composition.
  • Texture is subtle: paper grain, silk, ink wash, porcelain glaze, mineral pigment, wood, bronze patina, film grain, or another topic-specific refined texture.

Must Vary By Topic

  • Representative objects, body parts, artifacts, products, architecture, specimens, garments, tools, or diagrams.
  • Progression structure: sequence, shelves, plinths, atlas plates, side profiles, sectional layers, folded scroll path, specimen rows, material cards, or another structure that fits the theme.
  • Color source: derive palette from the topic's real materials, era, craft, ecology, technology, or cultural setting.
  • Symbol system: use only motifs that explain the topic; do not add generic "Chinese" decoration.
  • Rendering mode: choose macro close-up, artifact display, line drawing, product photography, natural-history plate, fashion editorial, architectural detail, or technical diagram according to the subject.

Topic Adaptation

When applying the style, explicitly map the theme before writing the prompt:

Prompt Assembly

Always assemble the final prompt in this order:

Do not collapse the series into a single poster. Each page should be a separate 3:4 vertical image. Use 5-10 item pages by default; choose the count from the topic's natural stages unless the user gives a count.

Include this style block inside

Then add topic-specific lines for:

  • Cover visual: one strong representative composite for the whole evolution.
  • Item pages: one stage per page, with title, time/phase, main visual, visual elements, and 1-2 sentence explanation.
  • Summary page: a concise visual synthesis, such as silhouettes, contours, material/color swatches, lineage marks, or a refined comparison strip.
  • Main visual objects for each stage.
  • A topic-derived palette, not a fixed beige/brown palette.
  • A topic-derived page system, not always a timeline or scroll.
  • Negative prompt that blocks cheap collage, PPT timeline, generic chinoiserie, over-decoration, unreadable labels, stock-poster feeling, and irrelevant motifs.

Use this Chinese output skeleton unless the user requests another language:

[main subject rules]
[topic-specific material/color/lighting rules]

Guardrails

  • Do not make every topic look like Chinese makeup, Song painting, or a tea catalogue.
  • Do not force ancient Chinese symbols onto modern, scientific, industrial, or non-Chinese topics.
  • Do not use dragon, cloud, seal, fan, bamboo, red stamp, or window lattice motifs unless they directly support the theme.
  • Do not default to warm beige/brown. Use light systems when appropriate, but derive exact colors from the subject.
  • Do not let the style override factual progression, recognizable stage differences, or clear reading order.

Examples

  • 中国眼妆的演变: eye close-ups, makeup color cards, rice paper, rouge, dai blue, pale gold.
  • 中国椅子的演变: chair side profiles, joinery details, wood grain, catalog plinths, Ming-style measured lines.
  • 茶器的演变: vessel silhouettes, ceramic glaze, tea liquor swatches, kiln labels, museum shelf rhythm.
  • 智能手机的演变: device profiles, glass/metal texture, cool gray-white layout, precision labels, no antique motifs.
  • 植物叶形的演变: botanical plates, vein diagrams, specimen labels, pale herbarium paper, green-gray mineral accents.

Output

Return the full multi-page series image prompt directly unless the user asks for analysis. Keep visible text in the user's language.
