Rooftop Hoist

When to use this skill

Personnel must come off a structure the aircraft cannot land on.

Procedure

  1. Rig the hoist; brief hand signals per comms brevity.
  2. Lower the rescue strop; one survivor per cycle.
  3. Positive hook-up confirmation before any lift.

Boundaries

  • Never hoist with an unbriefed survivor plus rescuer on one hook.
