What its author says it does
Copied from the file, not written here
Use when a working session is getting long or you need to pause mid-task — captures the full working state to ./HANDOFF.md so a brand-new session can resume with zero context loss.

0.6 KB, as published. Nobody here has run it
Write the current working state to ./HANDOFF.md so a brand-new session with ZERO prior context could resume with no loss. Include:
- the objective,
- what's done,
- the exact next step,
- key files and why they matter,
- decisions and their rationale,
- known gotchas / dead-ends,
- any running background jobs (with IDs),
- open questions.
Use real paths and names. Then confirm the file was written.
