When to Use

Edge Compute: If you need logic running in hundreds of locations worldwide.
Price Performance: Often beats the "Big 3" on raw CPU/RAM per dollar.
Multi-Cloud: Excellent alternative provider for redundancy.

Best Practices (2025)

Do:

Use Edge Locations: Deploy latency-sensitive apps to Linode's newer distributed sites.
Use Object Storage: S3-compatible, affordable, and highly available.
Use Longview: Lightweight monitoring for your Linux instances.

Don't:

Don't run unhardened: Like any VPS provider, you get a raw Linux box. Configure ufw, fail2ban, and SSH keys immediately.
