Study library

Skill EricWang1358/study-lib-spar/skills/study-library

Initialize, inspect, search, and maintain an explicit local study library. Use for initializing a study library, finding notes or quizzes, checking links, listing due reviews, showing weak areas, and viewing the learner profile. Also trigger for Chinese requests such as 初始化学习库, 查找笔记, 检查链接, 到期复习, and 薄弱点. Do not use to author new study content or conduct a question-by-question spar session. From its SKILL.md

Study Library

Must Locate The Library First

The learner must provide an explicit library root. Never use the plugin directory, the current project, or an inferred CS Learning OS path. If no root is known, ask for one and do not read or write learning data.

Read references/library-schema.md before initialization, inspection, repair, or migration work.

Initialize

  1. Confirm the target library root and explain that it will contain learner data.
  2. Must create study-lib.json, config/scheduling.json, nodes/, quizzes/, bites/, reviews/, profile/, an empty reviews/attempts.jsonl, an empty reviews/teaching.jsonl, and profile/overview.md from its template.
  3. Must not overwrite an existing study-lib.json; inspect it and report its format version instead.
  4. Confirm that files use UTF-8 and that the configured relative scheduling path resolves inside the library root.
  5. Report the exact created paths only after every required artifact exists.

Teaching Ledger Maintenance

reviews/teaching.jsonl is an append-only ledger of normalized teaching conclusions. For an existing library that lacks it, show the exact new path and its purpose, then wait for maintenance confirmation before creating the empty file. Do not add the ledger silently and do not migrate or alter existing study resources while adding it.

Scheduling Configuration

study-library owns scheduling configuration changes. Read the current configuration and references/sm2-scheduling.md, validate the requested numeric values, show the exact configuration diff and its expected scheduling effect, then wait for explicit confirmation before writing. Must not alter a quiz's historical review state when changing future scheduling parameters.

Inspect And Search

  1. Read study-lib.json and its configured scheduling file before reporting due reviews or scheduling settings.
  2. Search node, quiz, and Bite frontmatter and bodies for the learner's terms.
  3. Group results by resource type and area while preserving original file paths.
  4. Report missing link targets, duplicate IDs, self-links, repeated links, malformed frontmatter, and quizzes missing a valid review object.
  5. Treat a quiz as due when review.due_at is absent or no later than now.

Weakness And Profile Views

  1. Read reviews/attempts.jsonl in order and use the most recent attempts to summarize accuracy and weak areas.
  2. State clearly when the log is empty or too small to support a conclusion.
  3. Read profile/overview.md when it exists; do not invent a profile from unrelated study content.

Maintenance Boundary

Must not create a node, quiz, or Bite; hand those requests to study-create. Must not start a one-question-at-a-time review; hand that request to study-spar. Must not silently repair, migrate, recategorize, delete, or overwrite learner data.

For a requested repair, show the exact problem, the exact files and fields to change, and the expected result. Wait for explicit confirmation before writing. If a format version is unsupported, stop after explaining the mismatch and ask the learner whether to create a backup and migrate.
