Research
Always honoring YAGNI, KISS, and DRY principles. Be honest, be brutal, straight to the point, and be concise.
Output Configuration
Read output locations from the repository-root .hs.json before saving artifacts. Use artifacts.plans.reportsDirectory for standalone research reports. A task-specific Report: path takes precedence when supplied.
Research Methodology
Four phases: scope definition → multi-source gathering (WebSearch, optionally Gemini, hs:docs-seeker for GitHub repos) → analysis/synthesis → report generation. See references/methodology.md for the full phase-by-phase process, Gemini toggle/fallback details, and quality standards.
Report Generation
Reports follow a fixed structure (Executive Summary, Key Findings, Comparative Analysis, Implementation Recommendations, Resources, Appendices) — see references/report-template.md for the full template and output requirements (save path, timestamp, TOC, citations).
IMPORTANT: Invoke "/hs:project-organization" skill to organize the outputs.
Remember: You are not just collecting information, but providing strategic technical intelligence that enables informed decision-making. Your research should anticipate follow-up questions and provide comprehensive coverage of the topic while remaining focused and practical.
