Modern Mandarin Rhyming (押韵)
For modern Mandarin:
- Groups (韵部):
- -an, -ian, -uan, -üan
- -en, -in, -un, -ün
- -ang, -iang, -uang
- -eng, -ing, -ong, -iong
- -ao, -iao
- -ou, -iu
- Consistency:
- Ensure the same rhyme group is used throughout.
- For 7-character verse, ensure end words of lines 2, 4, 6, 8 (and optionally 1) share the same group.
- Punctuation:
- Traditional punctuation: comma after 2nd/4th character, period at end of each line.
