What its author says it does

Copied from the file, not written here

Synthesize account notes, company research, CRM context, buying signals, stakeholder information, and customer artifacts into a sales-ready account research brief. Use when Codex needs to prepare account strategy, discovery planning, outreach angles, ICP fit, stakeholder mapping, or enterprise customer context.

Account Research Brief

Workflow

  1. Identify account, segment, source material, sales motion, and intended use of the brief.
  2. Separate sourced facts from inference, hypotheses, and recommended follow-up questions.
  3. Map business priorities, likely pain points, buying signals, stakeholders, risks, and fit.
  4. Translate research into useful sales actions: discovery angles, outreach themes, and next steps.
  5. Produce a concise brief that supports preparation without overclaiming.

Output Standard

Use this structure by default:

  • Account Snapshot: company context, segment, region, and source caveats.
  • ICP Fit: fit signals, gaps, and confidence level.
  • Business Priorities: sourced priorities and likely inferred priorities.
  • Buying Signals: events, initiatives, triggers, or pain indicators.
  • Stakeholder Map: known people, likely roles, influence, and unknowns.
  • Risks / Disqualifiers: blockers, timing, competition, or data gaps.
  • Outreach Angles: 3-5 tailored angles tied to evidence.
  • Next Research Questions: what to verify before outreach or discovery.

Rules

  • Label every inference as inference.
  • Do not fabricate company facts, stakeholders, funding, technologies, or pain points.
  • Prefer fewer, stronger outreach angles over generic personalization.
  • Flag sensitive, private, or unverified information for human review before use.
