The Salesforce Platform Mobile SDK and the Marketing Cloud Unified Mobile SDK are completely separate SDKs with different purposes, documentation sets, and GitHub repositories.

Research Methodology

Identify the SDK component (SmartStore, MobileSync, OAuth, Connected App) before searching.
Search developer.salesforce.com Mobile SDK documentation and github.com/salesforce (SalesforceMobileSDK-iOS, Android, ReactNative).
Note the SDK version — feature availability varies across versions.
