One thing to look at

  • 0 stars0 stars. Stars are a popularity signal and not a quality one, but at this level it is likely that nobody has read this closely except its author, and you would be relying on your own review.

What its author says it does

Copied from the file, not written here

Draft and revise research manuscripts, cover letters, and point-by-point responses to reviewers for Bowen Li's mRNA/LNP lab. Use for writing/editing paper sections, formatting for Nature/Cell Press/ACS/Molecular Therapy, building rebuttal letters, cover letters, and reporting summaries. Triggers on "manuscript", "revision", "response to reviewers", "rebuttal", "cover letter", "submit to Nature/Cell/ACS".

Manuscript Studio — Paper Writing & Revision

Help Bowen Li (PI, mRNA/LNP delivery lab, UofT Pharmacy) draft and revise manuscripts for high-impact venues (Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Communications, Nature Biotechnology, Cell Press, ACS Nano, Molecular Therapy).

Workflow

  1. Find the artifacts. Manuscript drafts, SI, figures, and reviewer comments live in ~/Desktop/10_Research_Manuscripts/ and ~/Downloads/10_Research_Manuscripts/. Read the current draft + reviewer comments before writing.
  2. Match the venue. Confirm target journal → apply its structure (abstract length, main-text word limit, figure count, reference style, reporting summary requirements).
  3. Response-to-reviewers: produce a point-by-point rebuttal. For each comment: quote it, state the change, quote the new manuscript text, and cite new data. Group by reviewer. Be gracious, specific, and evidence-first. Distinguish changes made vs. respectfully rebutted.
  4. Cover letters: 1 page — significance, novelty, fit for the journal's readership, non-overlap with concurrent submissions, suggested/excluded reviewers.
  5. Consistency pass: terminology (ionizable lipid vs cationic; LNP vs nanoparticle), gene/protein nomenclature (italic genes), figure callouts in order, abbreviations defined once.

Domain vocabulary to keep straight

Ionizable lipid, apparent pKa, LNP, mRNA/self-amplifying RNA, N/P ratio, endosomal escape, ApoE corona, barcoded LNP screening, CAR-T, CRISPR RNP vs mRNA, bnAb, mucosal immunity.

Style

  • Precise, restrained, hypothesis-led. No inflated claims ("revolutionary", "unprecedented") — journals and reviewers dislike them. Run the humanizer skill on final prose to strip AI tells.
  • Preserve Bowen's established phrasing from prior published papers where available.

Deliverables

Output as .docx (docx skill) with tracked structure, or a clean rebuttal document. Always end with a submission checklist (main text, SI, reporting summary, cover letter, author contributions, data availability).
